COMPASS Prep, Canton, GA
Compass Prep is a tuition-based  program that offers a full academic track for students from kindergarten level through high school.  Our elementary program uses a creative, hands-on, Charlotte Mason-type approach with lots of "stretch time". Our middle and high school levels expand on this approach with  project and research oriented learning.  Our overall goal for the upper level is to help students identify their gifts and calling before God and then to help them prepare for it through academic training, worldview development and vocational direction. We offer a two day program for all students and an optional third day for our upper level (age 12-18) that includes focused art and music opportunities, other electives and an expanded Exploratory program. Pierian Springs, Sandy Springs, GA
Grades 6-12
We consider learning to be an active and creative life-long process in which the sharing of ideas enhances a student's educational experience. While we see the individual and his parents as responsible for the home school student's education, our classes stress the development of reason, logic, communication and analysis. Aside from offering academic classes, we also offer many classes in the arts (including studio art, acting, public speaking, chorus and ballroom dance). As we move into our second year, one of our aims is to build the diversity of our families and to provide home schoolers with a safe and comfortable environment for academic and artistic growth. We will offer a student lounge with access to wireless internet, a separate parent/teacher lounge (with a coffee pot and etc.), an open gym for afternoon pick-up games in basketball, volleyball etc. and a performance acting company. We will also be able to offer accreditation to those seeking that option.
