Every minute of every day, criminals are
at work. To catch them, police rely more and more on
forensic science – the science of solving crimes. In
this camp, students will learn about the modern science
of evaluating a crime scene, collecting evidence, and
processing the evidence to find a killer. We will
discuss the modern techniques used and recreate many of
the processes as well. We will look at fingerprinting,
photo technology, dental records, blood evidence, DNA
analysis, and trace evidence. We will create a real
crime scene, gather the evidence, and process it. We
will see if we can determine the location of something
that was buried months ago based on changes in the
vegetation and soil density. This camp will debunk the
Hollywood image of a crime scene investigator and look
at the real science of solving crimes! Camp is limited
to 10 children and payment due at
