Service Opportunities
Homeschool families love to help their community.  Below are listed some volunteer opportunities for families to participate in together. If you have additional opportunities to be listed, please email me at owner@northgeorgiahomeschooler.com

The Cherokee County Animal Shelter is looking for volunteers to help with an innovative program to train shelter dogs so that they will be better candidates for adoption.  Volunteers will act as instructors for Doggie U. Volunteers and will need to commit at least two Saturdays per month that they can work at the shelter for an hour or two to train dogs. No experience in dog training is required.  For more information, or to volunteer, contact Bob and Beth O'Brien at 678-445-4544 or go to www.doggieu.org
http://ccasauxiliary.org/ is the non-profit associated with the Shelter.
